That is the island of Maui. Viewed from the Big Island. See the water, there, when I zoom in?
It is a crazy, confusing thing for this directionally challenged girl to see a mountain and be unsure if it’s a mountain on this island, or the one next door. It is very deceiving. At their closest points, there are 30 miles between the two islands, over some of the roughest water. Map, here.
