Here in Canada only the government is allowed to send voting-day-specific things. We have an election on Oct 14th. It was called very recently, and we don;t have any clear choices. :-/ (except to try and vote for another minorty government, to get the bozo to throw his hands in the air and give up...) Wow.

Actually we don't even show our address except for the first time here. We recite our address out loud and they check our name off. I have voted in VA with a different address on my license (we moved and I lost the change of address thingy the DMV sent) than what I was registered with and they didn't bat an eyelash. The link is a bit one-sided though. They seem to indicate that only republicans are misleading. I've already gotten a couple misleading thing (directly related to when to vote and absentee ballots) from the democratic committee here. I find it rather humorous that her post about people being misleading is misleading in itself because it is one-sided. In the end, though, we all should automatically trash anything sent by a specific campaign or party and just be sure we are registered to vote based on where we currently live.
