Medieval Times?

Anyone have any experience with the Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament? They have locations scattered across the nation. I may have the opportunity to be in Tampa, Florida in October which is just shortly after my medieval book is due out. There’s a Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament facility in nearby Kissimmee, and I’m wondering about the possibility of doing a book signing or some such.

If you’ve been, can you tell me if there’s a gift shop adjacent to the facility? If so, is it open all day, or only short hours before and after the show? And how do you think I’d look in this?

Oh, the excitement! Oh, the nerves!

Ah, so much more tasteful than some of the dresses I’ve seen at Renaissance fairs. :)

My family has been to the Medieval Times in Myrtle Beach. And if I recall correctly, there was a huge gift shop filled with all kinds of medieval swords, clothes, games, cups and other paraphernalia. If I’m thinking of the right place, they also had a separate room with torture devices on display, but you probably didn’t want to know that……
They also had a huge bar area, where I went to get some relief from a headache. It was completely empty during the show. And you had to pass through it to get from the gift shop to the theater. So it was a good transitional area.
The whole experience was totally fun. I think you’d LOVE it.

It’s been 20+ years since I’ve been to Medieval Times, but it was a lot of fun. That would be an amazing tie in for your book! Have you checked their website? I wondered if it would give any information on the hours. Good luck!

My kids love it! There is a giftshop but it is pricey!
