I’m not much of a fan of comics. Oh, I’ll read them sometimes, but it’s not a high priority for me. However, as the parent of a 15-year-old boy I have fallen in love with Jeremy, he of Zits fame. It’s been recently added to the lineup in our daily paper’s comics section, and for that I am grateful. The cartoonists manage to capture the essence of teen angst and make me laugh out loud every morning. If you - like me - have a tendency to skip the comics page in favor of other activities, I encourage you to find time in your day for Zits. Especially if you have teens in your house.

I read my comics the same way I read my news - online. There are three different comics sites I visit daily, and while there I read and laugh at Zits, even though my kids are not quite there yet. Baby Blues and Buckets also hit the parenting nail right on the head. And for great humor and insight into marriage, you should check out Arlo and Janis.

Zits is my daily laugh. I’ve got a 16 year old, and it’s uncanny how accurate it is. I consider it part of my parenting toolbox, too, since reading the comic together and laughing about it works better than grumpy nagging. ![]()

I love ZITS, too. And now I also have a child who has her temporary driving permit. Priceless!
