The kids and I have been reading Pilgrims by Mary Pope Osborne - I think it’s the research guide to go with Thanksgiving on Thursday. I’m always amazed at how much I can learn, in spite of having the Pilgrim story shoved down my throat in school every year. But only parts of it. For instance, my kids were surprised to hear that the Pilgrims had stolen from the Natives. They certainly didn’t teach the whole story when I was in school.
